Using the service

The converter is free to use. There is no account, no licence to accept, and no limit beyond the practical ones the page tells you about — twenty photos at a time, fifty megabytes each.

Those limits exist because conversion runs on your own hardware and a browser tab has finite memory. They are engineering constraints, not commercial ones.

Your files are yours

You keep every right you had in your photos. We acquire nothing, because we never receive them.

In return: only convert files you have the right to convert. That is your responsibility and we have no way of checking it, since we cannot see what you are converting.

No warranty

The converter is provided as it is. It works well on the files we have tested and we test it seriously, but we cannot promise it will handle every file every device has ever produced, and we are not liable if a conversion fails or produces something you did not expect.

Your original file is never modified. A failed conversion costs you the time it took and nothing else.

Things may change

Features may be added, changed or removed. Anything marked Soon is an intention, not a commitment with a date attached.

If the service ever stops being free, that will be announced rather than discovered.

This site is built on open source work by other people, listed with its licences on the Open source page. Their licences apply to their code.
